The Romanian women’s handball team qualified for the main groups of the World Championship, after defeating Serbia

Romania’s goals were scored by Eliza Buceschi (8), Sonia Seraficeanu (7), Cristina Laslo (4), Crina Pintea (4), Nicoleta Dincă (4), Alicia Gogîrlă (2), Andreea Popa (2), Alexandra Dindiligan (2), Lorena Ostase (2), Bianca Bazaliu (1), Daria Bucur (1).

After today’s victory, December 3rd, Romania qualified for the third main group, where it will be joined by two teams from the current group, most likely Denmark and Serbia, plus the top 3 finishers from Group F.

Two of these are already known, Germany and Poland. The third will be the winner of the Japan-Iran duel, scheduled for Monday.

In the main group, Romania will play 3 matches, against teams from group F.

The teams enter the main group with the points accumulated so far against the other qualified teams. In Romania’s case, we are talking about the points obtained with Serbia and Denmark, currently two. 

The match against Denmark, the last for Romania in the preliminary group, will take place on December 5, at 21.30.
