Trabzonspor fans entered the pitch and attacked Fenerbahce’s players on Sunday evening after their 2-3 loss in the top flight. The footballers got into a fight with the hosts’ supporters, reports News.ro.
Tensions began to rise in the 87th minute when objects were thrown onto the pitch after Batshuayi scored what turned out to be the winning goal for the away team, Fenerbahce.
At the end of the game, while the Fenerbahce players were enjoying the victory on the pitch, the supporters managed to enter the pitch and a scuffle broke out with the police.

Dominik Livakovic, 29, the visitors’ goalkeeper, was hit by a supporter only for Batshuayi to hit one of them. Moreover, one of those who entered the field even used the corner stick to attack the players!
Players and staff from both teams were able to reach the locker rooms safely after these incidents. The Turkish Football Federation issued a statement asking for support from authorities after the beating at the end of the Trabzonspor vs Fenerbahce match.

Fenerbahce coach Ismail Kartal said his players did not provoke fans and his team was attacked, while Trabzonspor coach Abdullah Avci said the events at the end were upsetting.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya later said on social media platform X that authorities had launched an investigation into the post-match brawl and to identify fans who stormed the pitch.

Fener led 2-0 at half-time thanks to the “double” signed by Fred (31), the former Manchester United player, in the 13th and 45+4th minutes. Trabzonspor closed the gap through Enis Bardhi (28) in the 63rd minute and equalized in 78 through Trezeguet (29).
The visitors struck in the 87th minute through Michy Batshuayi (30), and although the game was extended by almost 15 minutes, the hosts were unable to come back and fans invaded the pitch.
