Mircea Lucescu will coach until 2023. Which team did the 75-year-old technician sign with?

Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu extended his contract with Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday. The 75-year-old technician has signed a deal with the Ukrainian group valid until 2023, reports gazeta Sporturi.</p>

With Dynamo Kiev, Mircea Lucescu managed last season to win all domestic competitions, championship, Cup and Supercup of Ukraine.

Dynamo Kiev also qualified for the Champions League group stages and played the “optimal” Europa League.

“We have complete confidence in Mister and his strategy. Mircea Lucescu is not only a winning coach, but also a specialist who grows players and changes the club. I hope that the next two years will be the beginning of a new page full of victories in Dinamo’s history,” said Igor Surkis, owner of Dynamo Kiev.

“We are happy that Lucescu is part of this plan. In one season, we took a big step forward. I chose correctly in 2020 and I have no doubt that this decision is also good for Dinamo,” said Igor Surkis.

After these performances, ten footballers from Dinamo Kiev’s squad were kept in the final squad of 26 with which Ukraine will play at Euro 2020, the last two matches in Bucharest (with North Macedonia, 17 June, and Austria, 21 June).

Last year, the Romanian technician signed a two-year contract with an option to extend for another season.
