The coaches in which the staff and the Bulgarian national football team were staying clashed in Tbilisi: “Todor Nedelev was full of blood”

On Friday night, bulgaria’s national football team landed in Tbilisi, and buses carrying players and technical staff to the hotel collided. Following the accident, Todor Nedelev, the midfielder of Botev Plovdiv, was rushed to a hospital in the Georgian capital with cuts to his face and hands, the Sportal.bg reported, according to the Sports Gazette.

The accident took place on Friday night after buses that picked up the players and staff of the Bulgarian national football team from Tbilisi airport collided on their way to the hotel. On the road, both vehicles were travelling at high speed and the driver of the first bus braked sharply to avoid an accident, but the one in the rear did not have time to brake and collided, the Sportal.bg website notes.

According to Dumbraveanu, the collision was extremely strong, both buses being damaged. Midfielder Todor Nedelev was the only player injured, being rushed to hospital, with cuts to his face and hands, caused by the shards of broken windows. “Undelev was full of blood,” Sportal.bg wrote.

“One bus stopped, the other got into it,” veselin Balevski, a member of the Federation’s Executive Committee in Sofia, described the accident. “Toshko Nedelev was injured, the team doctor is with him at the hospital.” “We’re fine, we got to the hotel. The accident was serious. Terrible. Only Todor Nedelev needed medical care,” said Hristo Zaprianov, deputy executive director of the Bulgarian federation.
