Serena Williams exited the WTA rankings

Serena Williams, 41, no longer appears in the WTA rankings after losing all the points, reports Agerpres, who takes over AFP. The legendary tennis player was ranked 1,204th at the time of her participation in Wimbledon.

Serena Williams, who has won 23 Grand Slam tournaments, returned to the circuit at Wimbledon, but was defeated in the first round by Frenchwoman Harmony Tan. The American had not participated in any tournaments in the past year, the previous tournament she had played in was the one at Wimbledon in 2021.

Serena Williams was ranked 1,204th in the world at the time of her participation in Wimbledon.

Another tennis legend, Swiss Roger Federer, is no longer in the ATP rankings. Roger Federer hasn’t participated in any tournaments in the last 12 months since last wimbledon.

Federer, who hopes to play once more at Wimbledon, plans to return to the competition at the Laver Cup (September 23-25 in London), then on the ATP circuit at the tournament in Basel (October 24-30). The Swiss, with 20 Grand Slam tournaments won, who will turn 41 in August, has undergone several knee surgeries in recent years.
