Grand gymnastics champion Simone Biles married American football player Jonathan Owens. “Mine, forever”
Multiple Olympic and world gymnastics champion Simone Biles, 26, married U.S. soccer player Jonathan Owens (27, Houston Texans), CNN reports.
The two shared images on social media on Saturday, April 22, and Biles now includes “Owens” in her full name on Instagram and Twitter.
“Yes,” Biles wrote on social media on Saturday, completing “Official Owens.”

The pictures from the wedding were taken by Rachel Taylor, photographer of luxury weddings.
The announcement comes just days after the couple posted a picture of what appeared to be a marriage proposal from Texas, where it reads, “The time is approaching to say ‘Yes’.

The two met online even before the pandemic hit.
Owens told Texas Monthly in 2021 that the pandemic has given them time to get to know each other better.
“It was one of the few moments in her life where everything was stopped and there was nothing she could do,” he said. “So we used the time to get to know each other—to really get to know each other. We created a bond and made it stronger. Now I’m so grateful,” he said.

Simone Biles, 1.42 meters tall, is the most awarded gymnast in the history of American gymnastics, with 19 Olympic and world medals. At the 2016 Summer Olympics she was the first gymnast, after the Romanian Ecaterina Szabó, who won four gold medals at a single edition of the Olympics.
Her husband, who plays linebacker, is 1.80 meters tall.
